Linchpin listening.

23 Apr

I’m sure you’ve worked out by now that I am a total Seth Godin fanboy. Lately he’s been obsessed with the idea of the linchpin – somebody with the talent to imagine and implement game-changing innovations in their field.

“You’re not nearly as good as you think you are. But nobody ever says that to us – we just worry that they’re going to say it.”

Apparently that’s the precise fear that stops most of us from ever being the linchpin.

If you’re even remotely interested in marketing, or business, or just unconventional problem solving, I’m sure you’ll find this seminar insightful. It’s a slow burner, especially if you’re used to five-minute TED talks, but give it a chance.
