I would rather be aborted than grow up in Edmonton.

29 Apr

Ah, the City of Edmonton. The economic heart of Canada’s picturesque Alberta district. Where cheese cutter hats nod respectfully to the past and yellow hard hats welcome in the future. A future of planning and foresight, and some day, of world-class engineering. Edmonton is the kind of city that represents itself with artist renders rather than photographs. Because when you live in a city that’s going places this fast, there’s just no time to look back.

But for all its fancy blueprint expo-domes, it seems Edmonton has neglected the most important kind of planning. Family planning.

These totally amazing posters were spotted in local railway stations. Aimed presumably at pregnant young girls, the sensitive question is delicately raised:

I’d like to take this opportunity to raise a very important question of my own:

  • Wouldn’t it be weird if abortions weren’t forever?
