This television commercial has to be one of the most exciting surprises to have come out of Cannes.

Over the last few years, eco messages have become very difficult to deliver. This very viral spot from Brazil comes right out with a delightfully grotesque and unexpected approach.

If you’d like to see campaign objectives, media coverage and results, here’s the entry video. It’s tough luck that it only took Silver. I wonder if it would’ve gone down better with the predominantly American judges had it been from an English-speaking country.

On another note, it looks as if the category to enter next year is radio – nothing special there this time around.
