Pay the translator.

19 Aug

One of the clients I write for regularly is based in Qatar. There are about five main languages in Qatar, so everything gets translated into (at risk of sounding like a racist) a series of very complex squiggles. The reputation of this client often lies entirely in the hands of a hopefully very competent translator.

Other people’s mistranslations, on the other hand, I find absolutely hilarious. A recent favourite is Hansi Smatter – a translation service blog for Western recipients of Chinese tattoos.

Wondering if you could translate this. My friend thinks it says something like, “to learn as much as possible.”

Thanks,
Alex

空 means “empty, hollow, bare, deserted”.
